Leather Care Guide
How to Care for Your Beetle Leather
Your Beetle piece is made from genuine vegetable tanned leather — a natural material that develops a rich patina over time. With the right care, it will last a lifetime.
Keep it clean Wipe with a soft dry cloth regularly. For light stains, use a slightly damp cloth and let it dry naturally. Never use harsh chemicals, alcohol, or wet wipes.
Keep it conditioned Apply a natural leather conditioner every few months to keep the leather supple and prevent cracking. Avoid petroleum-based products.
Keep it dry Leather and water don't mix well. If your piece gets wet, blot gently with a dry cloth and leave it to air dry naturally — away from direct heat or sunlight.
Keep it stored well When not in use, store in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight. Avoid plastic bags — leather needs to breathe.
The patina Over time your piece will develop a unique patina — a deepening of color and character that makes it truly yours. This is not a defect, it's the mark of real leather aging beautifully.
